Supporting Memphis Shelby County School Students in Need
Karen Hearts Foundation, in collaboration with KhalsaAid International, provided essential necessity support to MSCS through our September 25, 2025 Necessity Drive. Over $7,500 worth of socks, undergarments, clothing, hygiene kits, household supplies, school supplies, books, toys, activities, and comfort care items were delivered to vulnerable youth and families in multiple MSCS schools. These donations reduced financial pressure, increased dignity, stability, and emotional support for students facing hardship. This impact aligns with our mission to remove non-academic barriers that affect attendance, confidence, and readiness to learn. By providing basic needs, enrichment materials, and family support resources, KHF strengthens community well-being while supporting academic success, college and career readiness, mentorship development, and mental wellness inside our Virtual Workforce Development School and community partner ecosystem.
