Spotlight: 2025 MSCS 8th Annual Necessity Drive

On September 25, 2025, Karen Hearts Foundation honored the legacy of our founder’s mother by giving back to the community she inspired us to serve. Despite the rain, our team was out in full force, ensuring that every Memphis-Shelby County School received support for their students in need.

In partnership with KhalsaAid International and Family Man Enterprises, we delivered over $10,000 worth of essential items, including:

  • Socks and undergarments

  • Clothing items

  • Backpacks and school supplies

  • Hygiene kits

  • And more

These donations were distributed through the school board to reach underserved students, providing them with the essentials they need to feel confident, cared for, and ready to succeed in the classroom.

We were also thrilled to welcome new leaders who signed up to become mentors within Karen Hearts Foundation—extending our mission beyond supplies to guidance, support, and opportunities for students and families.

Through this initiative, we continue our mission of supporting students, empowering families, and uplifting Memphis communities—making sure that Karen Hearts Foundation is there for every student, every school, every day.

Supporting Memphis Shelby County School Students in Need
Karen Hearts Foundation, in collaboration with KhalsaAid International, provided essential necessity support to MSCS through our September 25, 2025 Necessity Drive. Over $7,500 worth of socks, undergarments, clothing, hygiene kits, household supplies, school supplies, books, toys, activities, and comfort care items were delivered to vulnerable youth and families in multiple MSCS schools. These donations reduced financial pressure, increased dignity, stability, and emotional support for students facing hardship.
